About us

In 2004 we, George Munroe and Christine Cahoon, founded Platypus to offer practical advice on ICT strategy to encourage companies to embrace the latest in internet technology—software developments, all aspects of networking, and related management. We developed ETINU, a cloud-based web management product that Platypus clients use to create and manage dynamic functional web sites. We have also delivered many workshops that focus on how companies of all sizes can leverage internet technology to "do things better and do better things".

If you feel we can be of service to you then do feel free to contact us.

“Christine’s computing experience began by managing critical equipment in a university computer centre in the early 1980s, from where she moved to analyst and became an active participant in a number of local and national world wide web initiatives, often with a leading role. Since leaving academe she has directed operations in a number of small Northern Ireland companies. Her empathy with users in general and customers in particular has led her to take responsibility for customer satisfaction and support. During 2018-2020, as a manager in a large Middle East IT security company, she instilled those same qualities onto others in her teams.”

He has led several teams in providing software products and systems solutions for a wide range of clients. He is the company's software developer and systems administrator. He has led numerous workshops over the years on emerging web technologies and related topics. During 2019–2020, as a director in a large Middle East IT security company, he established and managed an enterprise applications and architecture team.”
